Knitted Jumpers, wool, vintage suitcase and branch

An exploration of the multi- generational journeys of kinship through the handing down of old knitted jumpers and of the skills used to repair them. 

The threads that exist in each much - loved jumper along with those that are added to repair them and remake them, represent the connections that tie us together. The use of humble and domestic techniques to visibly darn, knit and sew each jumper back together further strengthen those connections…………. and that are handed down from generation to generation.
